Graduates of the International Economics major successfully confirm PUET’s diplomas in their countries

 

Mirgejdarzade Mir Mehdi Mir Ali ogly graduated in 2015 the Bachelor's degree program in International Economics. He heartily studied at the university, took an active part in the research work of the International Economics Department and mass cultural events of the university. Successfully confirmed the PUET’s diploma in Azerbaijan. Mirgejdarzade Mir Mehdi Mir Ali ogly is fruitfully working in the public service of his country.

Perseverance Zongororo graduated in 2017 the Master's degree program in International Economics. She was a hardworking student and received a diploma with honors. She actively participated in the research work of the International Economics Department. In the business projects competition "My first Start-up: today is a dream, tomorrow – your own business", her business idea was awarded with a diploma of the second degree. Perseverance Zongororo has her own footwear brand "Proud Afrik". She plans to continue her education at PUET’s post-graduate course.

The event which has already become traditional for PUET took place on the 24th of March, 2016. The chair of International Economics together with Group of Companies KM organized a roundtable on the topic of The first results of the agreement on free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU: exports and imports in questions and answers. The aim of the event was to let the scientists and experts discuss the basic issues of the Agreement on free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU.

The representatives of 18 companies were invited: LLC  trading house Poltavazoovetprompostach, LLC Ahrozahyst Donbass, LLC Puma-2000, LLC Litiz, LLC Kernel Group, LLC Spetsmehservis, LLC Poltavaoblkombikorm, private enterprise Best-Agro, private enterprise Adamant-Servis, private enterprise Ekobiz, sole trader Ivanenko, additional liability company Ukroliyaprodukt, public company KMZ, public company AvtoKrAZ, LLC Federn-Trade, LLC Tehlayt, LLC Tandem-2002, private enterprise Veterina.

Doctor of technical sciences, professor S.V. Garkusha and the Group of Companies KM CEO V.I. Karyuk delivered their welcome speeches for the roundtable participants.

The organizers of the event underlined that connection between the science and the industry as well as practice-oriented learning are inherent components of training the high-qualified, initiative, result-oriented specialists whereas the modern business makes exactly such a request. The best students of the specialty International Economics were introduced to directors and managers of Poltava city and Poltava region companies. These are the winners of international and national competitions and olympiads V.I. Blokha, N.V. Dovbnya, O.M. Fenich, V.V. Gorishchuk, D.G. Kerimova, N.O. Voronkina, U.G. Ziganshina, T.A. Semioshina, A.V. Ovcharenko, F.R. Chmikhun, V.S. Taranenko.

Scientists of the chair represented analytical review of the processes which took place in the national economy after signing the Association agreementbetween Ukraine and the EU. Doctor of economic sciences, professor O.V. Shkurupy presented the speech on the topic of European vector of Ukraine’s development: international trade in the frames of national statistics. The assistant of the chair of International Economics S.I. Tul described the reality of European perspectives for Ukraine’s economic development.

Representatives of the Group of companies KM (specializing on services in the sphere of transportation, logistics and customs affairs) top-management made their speeches too. The CEO of the Group of companies KM V.I. Karyuk described procedural aspects of the goods’ origin confirmation. The first deputy of CEO and business development director of the Group of companies KM V.M. Zayats presented the main issues of the Agreement on free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU. The head of customs brokerage of the Group of companies KM A.U. Timofienko informed the audience about the country of origin confirmation practice.

The second part of the event was devoted to questions and answers regarding the order of goods origin determination, trade regimes, HS Code, Ukrainian Classification of Goods of Foreign Economic Activity, The Combined Nomenclature (CN), TARIC. All the participants of the roundtable received certificates. In the end, the Group of companies KM drew a free customs clearance with 20% discount. LLC «Litiz» and sole trader M.V. Ivanenkobecame the winners.

The roundtable results proved that the most urgent problematic draws the maximum attention of the experts, scientists and students. Therefore, joint projects between PUET and the Group of companies KM will take place in the future again.
