HISTORY OF THE CHAIR

 

The c hair of International Economic Relations was established in 1997 in connection with launching the specialty “International Economics”. It was headed by prof. L. Rudenko (1997-2001), associate professor A. Goryachev (2001-2003), prof. M. Dzhaman (2006-2008), prof. V. Goncharenko (2008-2009), prof. O. Shkurupiy (2003-2006, and 2009-present).

The chair is training bachelors and master's, on both full-time and part-time basis. Foreign students are taught in Russian and English.

Currently, there are two scientific schools functioning at the chair: “Intellectualization of global development and international scientific and technological exchange” (supervised by prof. O.Shkurupiy) and “Cooperatives, credit unions and cooperative banks in the world economy” (supervised by prof. V.Goncharenko). The results of scientific work carried out by the Chair of International Economic Relations are published in the form of monographs, scientific articles, textbooks and manuals etc. The staff of the chair is actively sharing its scientific achievements at international conferences, through participation in grants and scholarships, trainings, workshops, seminars.
